Today when I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, it was so dark outside that I figured it was probably around 6:30 or 7 am. It was 11:30.

Today, Drew and our guru Jon and I made the trip to Topeka to check out a sweet 15-passenger van with purple finish. Apparently, it hadn't moved from the back alley it sat in for 2 years. We  cleared out some of the cobwebs and jumped the battery, and she started right up, so we drove her around the block. If the stars align accordingly, we may be spending many of our future hours in that big purple shuttle.

Right now I'm really hungry and I'm watching Dateline NBC and it's pretty much drama news hour.

We did a lot of bumping and grinding last night at the Replay. We also met this mystical punk diva shaman drifter-type dude. His hair was mesmerizing, as was his caterwauling performance. He leapt from table to table on the Replay patio and swung from the rafters. I can't remember his name for sure, but he's the leader of some cult called SSION. Apparently, this is what he looks like when not in disguise:

Hey all, we're in the beginning stages of sorting out plans for a fall east coast tour in support of our upcoming full-length album NO TEMPO, and we want to come play for you! artwork update + friends on tour

we've made some headway on the artwork for our full length album, finally. i can't wait for you guys and girls to hold one of the finished products in your hands. in due time, you will. hopefully we'll be able to share the record track listing and other goodies with you in the coming months. we've certainly got some exciting things in the works for the remainder of this year. don't want to let them out of the bag just yet, though.

in other news, our friends spidermums are getting ready to leave on a two week stint spreading their unique crystalline lysergic residue across the country. our friends allen, drew, and luke will be going on tour with the band as part of the live ensemble, so don't be too surprised if you see them around.
